jenn's transformation

Here is a reflection from Jenn, Lighthouse Pastor and Women's Ministry Pastor Extraordinaire, on the transformation that's occurred in her life in the past 2 years that she's been with our church body.

I have been meditating a lot on how far I've come and how I don't really KNOW who that woman was. In Isaiah 2 he says "your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you..." and it goes on to talk about how the daughter of Zion is left like a shelter in an open field and if there wasn't a few survivors she would have been destroyed like Sodom...This struck me as my life before I came to MVFF...before I had someone who cared about me and poured into me. I was letting foreigners pick over my riches and take everything. I was left exposed and yet there was that small ounce of truth left that was so desperate and hungry for things of God.

God is faithful. I often focus on who I'm not, vs. who God has so faithfully redeemed and restored to who I am now.
